An Se Young, the world's top-ranked female badminton player, has overpowered her competition to win her straight China Masters title.

The shuttlecock supernova on Sept. 6 defeated world No. 9 Tomoka Miyazaki of Japan in straight sets (21-17, 21-6) in just 45 minutes in the women's singles final of the Badminton World Federation World Tour China Masters at Shenzhen Arena.

Her win was a tuneup for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan that open later this month.

From the round of 32 to the final, An showed a dominating performance over five matches, winning every match in about 40 minutes without losing a single set.

Last month, she needed just 43 minutes to beat world No. 2 Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in straight sets in the women's singles final of the BWF World Championships in New Delhi, India. On a 33-match winning streak following her last defeat at the All England Open in March, she has gone 49-1 over that span for a 98% win rate.

On Sept. 7, An will return home to train at Jincheon National Training Center in Jincheon-gun County, Chungcheongbuk-do Province, ahead of vying for a second straight Asiad title.
